One of the most challenging aspects of playing Scrabble is at the end of the game when all the letters have been taken and there is a mad scramble to see who can get rid of their letters first. When there is little room left on the board and you have a only a couple of letter tiles in your tray, it's all about forming two-letter words.

The total number of possible two-letter words in English is 26 x 26 = 676, though the actual number of two-letter words that make sense in English (and are allowed in Scrabble play) is 101. Some of these words are familiar, but many may be completely new to you. Professional and hard-core Scrabble players memorize these words so they can get rid of their tiles before their opponents do.

Great help. My sister and I are fairly evenly matched in the word game, but maybe your list will give me an edge when we are nearing the end of the game. Thanks!
